NASA Engineering and IT Integrative Support

Customer: NASA – Engineering Directorate

S&K Global Solutions is a major technical support contractor for NASA at the Johnson Space Center.

The primary goal of the Engineering Product Integration Contract (EPIC) is to develop and implement cost saving processes and efficiencies at several programs within the Engineering Directorate at Johnson Space Center. This means that S&K Global Solutions professionals work in direct support of projects like the International Space Station (ISS), Robotics, Human Research, Multipurpose Crew Vehicle, and multiple advanced exploration projects like Orion.

S&K Global Solutions is teamed with BoozAllen Hamilton on the contract. Together, they perform a myriad of services across the Engineering Directorate.

Largest of the tasks under EPIC is Integrated IT Management Services. During the first year alone, S&K provided best-practice and process-improvement recommendations to network, hosting, end-user service and license consolidation across labs that resulted in savings of $25M.

Our team supports over 40 labs and 1150 devices, provides IT security, computer technical support, data center management, app services, SharePoint administration for over 100 sites, and much more to the Directorate.

S&K also provides Project Facilitation to over 160 meetings a month, Configuration Control Boards and panels support, cost/schedule reviews and meetings such as technical interchange and life-cycle reviews. We create agendas, records, publish minutes, and record/track action items.

Our general accounting support means S&K collects baseline information on Directorate business activities, data, and supporting applications and technologies, and provides gap analysis between the current and desired states of these activities.
